seeing red @ guan di temple, chinatown — curious architecture 008
with over 120 years of history, this Taoist temple is extravagant in its own ways. located just around the corner of the infamous Petaling Street, it's a feast for the eyes. i see red everywhere! the intricate gold carvings around the altars were hard to ignore, and i liked how people seemed calmer in here, compared to the hustle & bustle of the Chinatown -- just minutes of walk away.
such beautiful craftsmanship. couldn't help but think that this would be a stunning venue for a traditional Chinese wedding. we spent about 15 minutes here, just exploring & admiring the built, snapping away. i'm a fan.
