our palette — klebang sand dunes, melaka
here’s a few more photos from our pre-wedding album. a set taken at the klebang beach in melaka, sometime in november 2017. what you can’t see in these photos is the fact that it was or felt like it was 40 degrees, around 8.30am in the morning, K sweating buckets. so hot it felt like we were roasting ourself with every self-timed camera click. it’s a freakin’ mini desert out there but with humidity thanks to the south china sea haha. i would’ve preferred a long gown to wear, but reminded myself how warm it can be. so i wore a white dress i’ve had for years, but never actually worn before. it’s pretty short but it might’ve saved me from the overwhelming heat. anyway, we went for a very simple overall shoot-style, DIY everything, which i think is also very ‘us’, and i love how bright the photos turned out. <3
fun fact : the sand dunes are man-made, a huge white sand area with sporadic beautiful trees on the Klebang beach stretch, approx. 20mins walk from the road where we parked our car. it was quite an adventure to get there but i was obsessed with how minimal but impressive the area looked when we arrived.
we have more from our pre-wedding shoots, but these are my favorite plus the set in miri with kayan traditional clothes. we’ve always loved melaka — the food! the old town! it’s also where we went for our first roadtrip together <3
p.s K gave me the red (ninja) and white (numero) plushies back when we started dating (the red one definitely look like him, and the white one, me?!?)
